Sons da Terra

• MusicThe music found on this CD are live recordings taken during the Sons da Terra concert series of 2015-16 presented by Ecos da Pedra at the Santa Cristina Monastery in Galicia, Spain.
  This is a selection of musical moments that represent the experiences offered to the live audiences by local, national and international artists.
• SpaceThe Santa Cristina Monastery was built by the Benedictine Order in the 12th century for the elevation of the spirit through the power of music.
  It was built on a pagan ceremonial site in the remote mountainous interior of Galicia, Spain, known as La Ribeira Sacra (the Sacred Riverside).  An area known for its steep canyon walls of dense forests and hundreds of meter high terraced vineyards that loom over the mighty River Sil.  This temple is a masterpiece of sacred acoustical architecture that went silent in the 1500´s.
  Ecos da Pedra and Wapapura have come together to awaken these sleeping walls in efforts of continuing the legacy of our ancestors and their message of the healing and transformative power of music in connection with the Earth.
• EarthThe proceeds from the sale of this CD will go to benefit the cultural activities of Ecos da Pedra.  A project dedicated to offering artists from all over the world the opportunity to visit la Ribeira Sacra and create in connection with the many powerful natural locations and sacred sites of this area.
